jPod: The Finale

In under an hour, the final episode of jPod will air.

Anyone care to have a moment-by-moment discussion post for the big event? We're not going to have this chance again.

Failing that, this can serve as a simple discussion post.

If we can't save jPod, let's go out with a bang.

As I'm in the US, I won't really be able to participate. But I just wanted to add in how sad I am that this show is not being renewed. It was the most original show I've seen in a long time and there needs to be more TV like it.

They're tossing in some winks at the camera -- it makes me want to hit whoever wanted to cancel it.

I was so afraid that they'd have another random workplace death like Evil Mark, so on one hand: yay for being alive!! On the other hand: wtf, why end the series with a main character going into a coma?!

WHAT?! I can't believe they ended with "I think she's in a coma."

Not cool, CBC!!!

While I liked the eventual inclusion of the hugging machine, I'm angry that it was used that way. Also, we got NO closure on the Babette sub-plot.

At least John Doe and Bree were extremely cute. There was this one moment where they are walking together, arms linked and if you blinked, you'd miss it, but it was ADORABLE.

I'm having major issues with that ending. It's like the writers want people to go after CBC to get it back.

I know...we didn't really get closure with Jim/Carol and I'm still annoyed that I have no idea what that camera/rockpaperscissors/IM thing was.

Although, Kam Fong and Freedom's joint personalised gift-basket venture amuses me enough to forget for a while. Oh Kam Fong, I shall miss you. I loved you third mostest!!

At least we have a better idea of Babette . . . she really freaks me out. An AI that developed a crush on Ethan, and was willing to take extreme measures to keep him from hooking up with Katlin.

I did like the flashbacks, and the John Doe/Bree scenes were awesome. Not to mention Kam Fong/Freedom. Gift baskets FTW!

I think the last line is actually a reference to one of Coupland's other novels, Girlfriend in a Coma.

That was a very strange last episode. It was awesome to see what they were like when they first applied to Neotronic, I loved non-drunk serious business Jim, and Cowboy was great in this episode. Also... I'm sorry, but Kam Fong is SO CUTE it's not even funny. <3 It had to be said.

Evil Mark was weird-looking. I hate Babette now. I liked that everyone's new game groups were all so similar looking.
